The design for this event, attended by members of the U.S. Congress and Ministers of Tourism from around the world, was awarded the Grand Champion Award in a design competition sponsored by Barbizon Lighting in June 2006. It was also detailed in LIVE DESIGN magazine (July 2006) and as a case story on the Martin website. The plot featured (4) 85' runs of flown truss with 72 Martin MAC 2000 Wash and Spot fixtures, 6 Martin Atomic Strobes, 24 Par 38's, and 60 ACL Pin-spots plus haze machines.
