Capture have now released Atlas: its fastest, most reliable software yet, containing a host of new features. Capture Atlas has been adapted and rewritten to support and make use of a 64-bit operating system. It has a completely new file format for its project files, allowing them to load much faster and consume less memory, along with a brand-new quality setting that allows users to reduce the resolution of live visualisations and achieve higher frame rates.

One of the major improvements in the visualisation of Capture Atlas is the introduction of Physical Based Rendering. PBR is a recent development in computer graphics whereby, rather than using approximate mathematics for lighting calculations, more complex and physically correct models are used instead. The reason for this is to produce perfectly realistic rendering on screen.
