Now Shipping: New ColourPoint LED Uplighters from CORE Lighting

Entertainment lighting specialist White Light is now shipping the new ColourPoint uplighter, the latest product from UK manufacturer CORE Lighting. The ColourPoint is a lightweight, wirelessly controlled, and battery operated LED uplighter, suitable for use in entertainment, event, or architectural lighting. The first order of ColourPoint fixtures went to Katusha Bull, a London-based artist and sculptor whose stone pieces are currently showing at the onform london sculpture exhibition this month. Katusha purchased the new ColourPoint to illuminate exhibition spaces for her work, citing the fixture’s brightness, portability, and sleek design. “Lighting is a very important part of showcasing my work, and needed the same considerations as my artistic choices,” she said. Katusha met with White Light’s Jonathan Haynes to see a variety of lighting options before deciding on the ColourPoint.

“Because of Katusha’s many works and exhibitions, it became very clear that she needed something versatile and easy to transport that would also look great in any space,” Haynes explained. “We focused in on the ColourPoint because it is completely wireless, lightweight, and has a clean aesthetic.”

The ColourPoint has been steadily gaining interest since its launch at the Prolight+Sound 2013 exhibition earlier this year. The colour-mixing unit features RGBW LEDs, a 2300 lumen output, and is available in a variety of finishes. The ColourPoint also benefits from IP65 rated weatherproofing and an extended battery life of 8-10 hours at full power.

Katusha is currently using the fixtures at Crypt Gallery in London where the onform london exhibition is on display. “These fixtures are a perfect tool for use in my studio or in exhibition spaces,” she added. “I can take them anywhere and within a few minutes, the lighting is set without a mess of wires or cabling. I’m very pleased with the investment and am sure to be growing my stock of CORE Lighting fixtures in the future.”

The ColourPoint is available worldwide exclusively through White Light. For more information on the full range of products and services available through White Light, or to schedule a demo, visit the company online at www.WhiteLight.ltd.uk.
