Artistic Licence Engineering PLASA 2011 Preview

Artistic Licence Engineering has joined the newly formed Alderamin Group. We will be exhibiting at the forthcoming PLASA show, alongside the other Group companies, on the Alderamin stand (1-E32) Artistic Licence Engineering will be launching 5 new products at the show:

Multichrome Tube
Multichrome Tube is a linear, double-sided LED fixture based on Artistic Licence’s renowned Multichrome Flex technology. It is available in lengths of 500mm and IP rated for exterior use (IP67). Multichrome Tube is compatible with all existing Multichrome drivers (Multichrome D1, E1 and E2), which allows the product to be used alongside Multichrome Flex and Multichrome Web.

Multi-Play
Multi-Play is a rack-mounted hardware device for show recording and playback via a choice of output protocols. Multi-Play allows the user to record up to 12 Universes from any Art-Net lighting console. Playback protocols include Art-Net, ACN (E1.31), KiNet and ShowNet. Multi-Play also offers advanced triggering functionality. The product has been entered for the PLASA 2011 Innovation Awards.

Art-Net 3
Art-Net 3 is a massive evolution of Art-Net I and Art-Net II, allowing 32768 Universes (or 32 Kiloverses) to be transferred over the network. Art-Net 3 has also been entered for the PLASA 2011 Innovation Awards.

Colour-Tramp v4
Colour-Tramp, the award-winning control system from Artistic Licence, has recently been upgraded to v4, offering many more features. These include:

Visualiser
Multiple viewpoint layers allowing programming and visualisation from different perspectives
Now supporting 250 Universes
Enhanced Art-Net remote control and triggering
Support for time code in both tracking and triggering modes
Playback layers increased to 20
Cell or fixture visual layout can be rotated
Advanced import - export mode and Hippotizer file format support
Windows 7 support
Astronomical time clock triggering
Keyboard shortcuts
Group mask playback mode

We continue to offer free software upgrades to existing Colour-Tramp users.

Rail-DALI-DMX
Our Rail-DALI-DMX converter has enjoyed unprecedented success since its release in 2010. It has now been upgraded with a new feature that offers the choice of two fade times when run in Virtual Ballast mode. These can be employed to give a DMX fixture a smooth dimming curve, without the need to send multiple DALI commands.

New Education
Artistic Licence Engineering continues to offer a wide range of training opportunities from its Harrow headquarters. Next up in October are DALI and Art-Net training days. Places are still available and can be booked on the Artistic Licence website.
