Artistic Licence First Time Exhibitors at evenTech Ireland 2009

Artistic Licence, manufacturer of lighting control systems, will be exhibiting at evenTech Ireland for the first time this November. Industries Hall, Dublin. 17-18 November 2009. Booth D8B.Artistic Licence's presence at the show comes as a result of its growing customer base in Ireland and the increased demand for Artistic Licence products and expertise in Ireland's expanding architectural and entertainment lighting market.

"evenTech Ireland has proven itself as a pivotal information and networking event within Ireland's installation technology and entertainment lighting sectors and, as such, is the ideal forum for us to showcase directly what Artistic Licence has to offer," says Technical Sales Manager, Louise L'Homme.

"Not only do we want to be on hand to meet with our existing customers and project managers, but we want to be able to present and explain the technology within our product range to those who are new to Artistic Licence. We find that projects often concentrate on the visual and audio aspects and can give the control and integration aspects a lower priority. We can show our customers how to maximise the potential of an entire project using well-planned control systems."

On the stand will be a selection of DMX and DALI control tools including the newly released Sign-Control – a DMX512 playback system aimed at simple to sophisticated room control applications which includes 24 memories and 6 sequences, and Two-Play – a two-universe, multiple record and playback Art-Net controller which provides the perfect control solution for small to medium size installations. Two-Play was recently given Commended status by the judges of PLASA09 Awards for Innovation.

Further new Artistic Licence releases will also be put through their paces. These include Art Switch POE, a DIN-Rail Ethernet switch with five 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports, four of which support Power over Ethernet (PoE); Art-Pipe, a new 24 channel, Art-Net driven, low voltage dimmer for conventional LED fixtures; and Art–Relay, a new Art-Net controlled, PoE powered unit providing 12 mains voltage relays.

Artistic Licence will be demonstrating how DALI systems can be integrated into pre-existing DMX based installations using products such as Rail-DALI which converts DMX512 to DALI and DALI to DMX512.

"DALI, which has been prevalent in the architectural and commercial lighting industry for some time, is now frequently being used alongside DMX to create feature lighting alongside functional lighting. There is often a cross over between the two systems – for example, when DMX operated LED features need to be controlled by a DALI BMS – and we want to let people know that Artistic Licence has the products to bridge the gap between the two," continues L'Homme.

"The show will give people an opportunity to come to the stand, ask us questions and bring themselves up to speed on both the technical aspects and practical applications."

A number of general testing and configuration tools for commissioning such as Microscope 3a, DALI-Scope and Jump-Start will also be on show, alongside a range of 19-inch rack mount Art-Net products.

And finally, Artistic Licence are giving away a Sign-Control unit complete with Sign-Edit programming kit. Simply visit the stand and leave your business card for your chance to win one of these ergonomic, easy-to-install control units.
